This project was originally conceived as simply being part of the University of Warwick’s Undergraduate Research Support Scheme. However, it is clear that the scale and scope of the project has value outside the URSS. Given that 2022 will mark 25 years since the 1997 election, it seems like a perfect time to continue and expand the project. The continued aims of the project will be:
- In the following year the project will continue to collect interview transcripts to help and aid other historians with their research.
- Expand and revise the “Will’s Analysis” section of the website.
- Continue the Not A Day For Soundbites podcast and expand its episode list.
- Work with other projects to encourage more research related to the 1997 election.
